Remote Terminal DT-10TSp

DT-10TSp Remote Terminal is a part of the DT-10TS Remote Terminals designed for complex distribution and industrial substations and distribution switchyards 10 (20) kV. The DT-10TSp terminal is used in modular expandable switchgears where remote control and management of a complex switching plant is desired. The control functions can also include the indication of ground fault and short circuit, measurement, protection, automation, registration and analysis of power quality and alarm alert. Info terminal IT-1, as the central unit of the system, in addition to the dynamic state of the plant’s status presentation on the graphic LCD, also allows remote and local control of the plant. Control of the plant from the control center is performed remotely (radio connection, Ethernet connection, GPRS or optical connection) using the SCADA system.

Depending on the complexity of the plant, besides Info Terminal IT-1, the Remote Terminal includes few or more local terminals and measuring devices (e.g. UST-3, NR-300, IK-5 (10,20), MT-30 (40), TP-10). Each local terminal, besides the data acquisition, also has its own signalling or display of the monitored values. Local terminals may be dislocated according to the needs of plants in the medium voltage, low voltage or separate part of the plant (separate cabinet) and interconnected with optical or RS485 communication. The figure shows the Remote Terminal DT-10TSp in the remote monitoring, control and fault indication and protection system of the medium voltage of the renewable energy source connection facility. Since the Remote Terminal is a distributed system, each of the local terminals is autonomous unit (own microprocessor, own signalling and display, own power supply), the Remote Terminal meets the highest reliability and availability requirements of the system.

  • multiprocessor distributed system
  • the complexity and distribution of the plant defines the type, number and availability of local terminals (IEDs)
  • very simple system expansion
  • optical or RS485 communication link between Info Terminal IT-1 and local terminals
  • communication between the control center (SCADA system) and the Remote Terminal over various media (radio link, Ethernet connection, GPRS, optical connection)
  • chronological event registration, resolution 1ms
  • MODBUS RTU (TCP), IEC 60870-5-101 (104), IEC 61850 communication protocols
  • communication with the control center is possible on polling and on event (event driven)
  • self-test function and signalling of the availability of each local terminal and central unit
  • local signalling of the plant status and display of measured values of the plant (alphanumeric or graphic LCD and LED elements)
  • own power supply of each local terminal (redundant power supply option)
