Handheld Terminal RT-IK

The Handheld Terminal RT-IK is intended for parameterization and testing of the IK-30 Fault Indicator on site. The communication between the Handheld Terminal and the Fault Indicator is realized via infrared (IR) transmitters and receivers located in the terminal and Fault Indicator. Using the keypad and the LCD the Handheld Terminal enables the initialization of the Fault Indicator when it is set up as well as its parameterization (setting of fault counters, real time clock, etc.). The Handheld Terminal is also used as a unit for reading the registered data from the Fault Indicator and transferring data to a personal computer.

With the IK-DIALOG software package, the registered data on the computer can be analyzed. In case of faulty status or periodic overview of the transmission line, after the IR connection has been established with the Fault Indicator, the Handheld Terminal automatically recognizes the Fault Indicator identification and its registered data (e.g. number of short circuits, number and direction of ground faults, number of faults, battery status, etc.). The read data with the time stamp is recorded in the Handheld Terminal memory.
